Apparently we're hippies...
We made a new purchase... a Honda Element. I went to American Falls to look at a Mazda 3 and liked that car, but we (my Dad and Samuel) saw the Element and figured we'd drive it just for the heck of it... turns out that I really was impressed and couldn't decide between the two vehicles. After much deliberation, I determined two things: my head said the Mazda, my heart said the Element. And my Mom said the Mazda, so I finally chose the Mazda despite it not having cruise, or power anything. It was a good deal and I really didn't want my Mom mad at me and I know she's usually right about almost everything.

Well, I tell you what, it was about that time Samuel said the Mazda didn't have A/C... which we all scoffed at because what 2005 model of car doesn't come standard with A/C? Just for fun, Samuel and Dad went out and discovered that he was right, no A/C. This made my choice easy! The Element it was! The great thing is that it had a brand Honda engine and a brand new Honda transmission, so it's basically a new car.

I loved the functionality of it, it's massive on the inside and fun to drive. It's all wheel drive so that'll be nice in the winter and I'm very pleased about our purchase. I know it looks like a box, but I really don't care, I like it and it's a Honda... what more can I say?

The only drawback I have right now is that Avery doesn't so much like it... he doesn't know where to sit because it doesn't have a place for him in the back window. We'll have to figure out something for him, one of his great joys in life is riding in the back window of the car... we won't take that away from him, hippies or not.
